Welcome To Georgia Poodle Rescue!

Georgia Poodle Rescue is a dba under Georgia Poodle Club Incorporated. We are a licensed and permitted non-profit corporation, in the application process of obtaining our tax-exempt 501c)(3) status and located in the new city of Milton, Georgia, formerly known as Alpharetta unincorporated.

We were created to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide sanctuary for unwanted poodles, poodle mixes, and other animals as resources allow. Once these poodles have been properly rehabilitated and trained, our goal is to adopt them into appropriate, loving, and responsible “forever” homes.

We want our adopted dogs to be adopted into their forever homes on the first adoption and not be bounced around from home to home. To help ensure our dogs get a good chance of this, we are the first rescue organization that we know of that commits to having our adopted dogs trained in basic obedience and pack leadership protocols, with instruction to their new owners.

We rely on your donations to continually allow us to be able to take in new dogs and care for our existing dogs, some of which will most likely be permanent residents due to their age and/or other conditions.

Both your donations and our adoption fee donations are applied to the costs of running a rescue, which include utilities (electric, water, web site maintenance and development, internet, phone), transportation, licensing, phone, nutritional supplies (kennels, food, food/water bowls and holders, healthy water, rescue efforts and fees, grooming, training, nutritional care and supplies (including home-made and healthy nutritional food, store bought food, supplements), veterinary medical care and supplies (including spay/neuter, vaccinations, exams, procedures, emergencies) and much more.

Our private shelter is limited to 20 dogs at this point in time until we can raise funds to expand our space. As such, we are always in need of good foster homes and volunteers to help us out at our events. We are also in the process of forming various committees and are looking for people to help lead, manage, and volunteer on these committees.

Won’t you help the poodles by donating your time, food, or funding? You can contact us via email at georgiapoodlerescue@gmail.com , via phone at 678-624-0444, and via US mail at 980 Birmingham Road, Suite 501-230, Milton, GA 30004.
